What’s on today
Sonego wins third set
Now it’s Sonego’s turn to scream out as he wins the third set by breaking the serve of Shelton.
He won the set 6-4 and will again serve first in the fourth set, something that could be important if he can build some scoreboard pressure on the American by holding serve and having the lead.
This set win will be huge for Sonego’s belief but watch for Shelton to go on the attack when they resume battle in the fourth.
Shelton leads two sets to one.
Sonego puts the pressure on
We are still on serve at 5-4 in the third set after Sonego just had possibly his most resounding hold of serve for the match.
He held to love as Shelton missed a couple of potential winners.
They are having a rest, then Shelton will come out to serve and try and keep it on serve.
Third set going at a cracking speed
This third set in the Shelton v Sonego match is flying along.
Shelton just held to make it 3-3 on serve.
But Sonego’s service games still look unimpressive.
It feels like a question of it, not when the former University of Florida Gator will break his serve.
Shelton lets two sets to love. It’s 3-3 in the third set.
Watch: Sinner spotted practising
World no. 1 Jannik Sinner has been filmed practising despite concerns about his health.
He takes on Alex de Minaur in tonight’s blockbuster quarter-final.
Shelton wins second set
Shelton just let out a huge scream of “c’mon” as the large monkey sprung off his back and let him take a two-set lead.
He really struggled to close out the set after twice breaking Sonego.
He even hit two near-certain winners back to Sonego on set point before the Italian hit the ball out.
Now he faces the biggest test of his young career, closing out his match and earning a place in the semi-finals.
Shelton leads 6-4,7-5.
Shelton gets another break
Shelton has broken back after a long, see-sawing game that eventually finished with him taking the win and a 6-5 lead.
Shelton will now serve for the second set, again.
Let’s see how he goes this time.
Sonego goes bang
Where has this been? Sonego has gone on the attack and raced to a 0-40 lead.
Shelton’s service game escaped him for a couple of points and it cost him dearly.
Sonego completed the break and will now serve at 5-5 in the second set.
Shelton serving for the set
Sonego just had arguably his most comfortable hold of the set but it could be for nothing as Shelton is about to serve for a two-set lead at 6-4, 5-4.

Stars shake hands after crazy point
Sonego and Shelton shared this lovely moment a little earlier after completing a brilliant rally.
They’ve had a few good ones and we are not even two sets into the action.
Shelton gets the break
Shelton has flexed his muscles after an audacious winner that earned him the first break point of the second set.
His team is also flexing those muscles, including his dad.
Shelton is serving at 4-3 ahead and Sonego doesn’t have an answer for his power right now.
