Ryles takes charge as Dylan Brown and the Parramatta Eels face the Newcastle Knights

A Fletcher Sharpe kick on the last drifts too deep and is caught in the Eels’ in-goal, and Parramatta chance their arm in the resulting second-tackle set. Dylan Brown is looking dangerous on the left but is hit hard by a Mat Croker tackle and spills the ball – his second error in the first five minutes of the second half.

This time the Knights cash in, some good hands on the right from Tyson Gamble and Fletcher Sharpe setting up a try for former Australian Schoolboys winger Logan Aoake in the corner.
