Five people, Okoronkwo Ejike, Kingsley Ibeh, DJ Spoiltkid, Terrence Ekot, and Samuel Agozie, have been served with criminal summonses by an Abuja Magistrate Court located in Wuse Zone 6 for allegedly defaming gospel singer Mercy Chinwo.

Emmanuel Iyanna, the court’s registrar, has signed the summons. They are scheduled to appear in court on April 23 to present their claims that Mercy’s son is the child of well-known gospel singer Nathaniel Bassey.
According to Uzochikwa, the purported criminal defamation acts were committed using cyberstalking, cyberbullying, and the purposeful dissemination of harmful falsehoods.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the defendants have made a widely shared claim on social media: they claim that well-known gospel singer Nathaniel Bassey is the father of Chinwo’s son.
