Alex De Minaur v Francisco Cerúndolo; Jannik Sinner v Marcos Giron; Emma Raducanu v Iga Świątek results, scores, schedule, draw, how to watch

There’s a well-worn joke in tennis that Iga Swiatek should open a bakery because she often disposes of her opponents before they even get a game on the board.

In tennis, a 6-0 win is known as a bagel, while 6-1 is known as a breadstick, and Britain’s Emma Raducanu became the latest player to visit Swiatek’s bakery, after the Polish world No. 2 decimated Raducanu 6-1, 6-0 in the third round at the Australian Open.

Raducanu, herself a grand slam winner, could not match the sheer power and precision of Swiatek, who is yet to drop a set this tournament.

“Well, I don’t take it personal kind of, so I wouldn’t say I’m ruthless. I just try to have the same kind of attitude and same kind of focus, no matter what the score is,” Swiatek said.

“But it’s not like I want to, you know, show something. I’m just playing my game. If it’s working, why stopping? I also seen many matches when someone was back [after] being down like 2-5 or something. You always have to just keep going. It’s not over till it’s over.”

Swiatek is a five-time grand slam champion, but only one of those titles has come on a hard court – the 2022 US Open.

The 23-year-old was left stunned when she was bundled out of the tournament last year by Czech teenager Linda Noskova, and she is yet to progress past the semi-finals at the Australian Open.
