Apex Air (China) (Nantong) has been declared bankrupt by the Tongzhou District People’s Court of Nantong City following an application lodged in late December by 11 employees who are owed CNY664,142.48 yuan (USD91,800) in unpaid wages.
Court documents seen by ch-aviation show that law firm Jiangsu Qingxin was appointed administrator on December 27, 2023.
Known legally as Zunxiang Business Aviation Co., Ltd., Apex Air is a CCAR 135 general aviation carrier that has specialised in charters and aircraft management using 24-seater Challenger 850 VIP jets. ch-aviation fleets ownership data shows that two of the CRJ200 jets were last year leased out to Xejet (4U, Lagos) in Nigeria as 5N-XEJ (msn 7915) and 5N-XEL (msn 7975) respectively. Now dormant as an operator, Apex Air has no other known aircraft in active in-house service.
Given its main operating bases in Shanghai, Beijing, and Shenzhen, its target clientele were mainly concentrated in East China, the Yangtze River Delta, and the Pearl River Delta. It also operated a 16,000sqm MRO facility at Nantong airport.
