C- 295 aircraft will be manufactured for the Indian Air Force in Vadodara, Gujarat. Tata has a deal with Airbus under which these state- of- the- art aircraft will be prepared for the Air Force. The great thing is that till now these aircrafts weren’t made in India, but for the first time Tata has inked a deal with Airbus under which C- 295 aircraft will be manufactured on Gujarat soil.

What’s the meaning of this deal?
It’s also important to understand then that these C- 295 aircraft will be manufactured at a factory in Vadodara, Gujarat. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to lay the foundation gravestone of this factory on 30 October. It’s being told that in this factory, Tata and AirSub together will make a aggregate of 40 aircraft for the Air Force, piecemeal from the other necessary outfit, they’re also preparing to be prepared in this factory.

For information, let us tell you that in September last time, India had made a deal worth 21 thousand crores. Under that deal, India is going to buy 56 C- 295 aircraft from Airbus Defense. In this, 16 aircraft are to be completely set and available to India, while the remaining 40 aircraft are to be manufactured in India. Now the same 40 aircraft will be made in Vadodara, Gujarat. This will also give a boost to the Make in India scheme.
