The two former presidents were all smiles during their visit at the White House, where Biden told Trump, “Welcome back.” SNL cast member James Austin Johnson donned his impeccable Trump impersonation alongside former cast member Dana Carvey as Biden to poke fun at their reunion.
GREATEST COMEBACK? HERE’S HOW TRUMP STACKS UP IN WHITE HOUSE HISTORY
“Ugh. I forgot how boring president is. Love running, hate being,” Johnson said. “I hate the White House. So old, so dated, so many of the carpets are stinky and sticky at the same time. Sort of like being at a Regal Cinemas.”
“This place is great. I have so many wonderful memories here. Dr. Jill, also foreign leaders, my dog attacking every single one. I brought my party together, so much they teamed up and kicked me out,” Carvey said. “Wait a minute. Maybe I hate it here, too. No joke.”
The cold open included appearances from Alec Baldwin debuting his impersonation of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who Trump named the Secretary of Health and Human Services this week. SNL cast member Sarah Sherman impersonated Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL), who resigned from the House of Representatives this week to accept Trump’s appointment as Attorney General.
“It’s all about surrounding yourself with the best people and I am very fastly picking the most epic Cabinet of all time. There’s some of the most dynamic free-thinking, animal-killing, sexually criminal, medically-crazy people in the country,” Johnson said. “We’ve got Elon and Matt Gaetz, that’s alien versus predator. We’ve got Kristi Noem and RFK Jr. They’re killing the dogs, they’re killing the bears.”

“I see what you’re doing with these nominations. You’re picking a bunch of whacko jackos to test out how compliant the center will be with your policies,” Carvey said.
SNL came under fire for hosting Vice President Kamala Harris on its program the Saturday before the election while not offering Trump the same opportunity. NBC gave Trump some air time on a separate program to make up for it.
