Tokyo Revengers Gets Exciting Update With New ‘Last Mission’ Release

The long-awaited, long-delayed Tokyo Revengers: Last Mission has finally been released, with the game now available on iOS, Android and PC. The title adopts a “re-experience” format, letting players take control of the main character Takemichi and his gang of rebels to rewrite the course of Tokyo Revengers canon through time-leaping action.

Originally slated for a February 2024 release, the initial game launch date was put off with good intentions. Developers used the delay to refine its mechanics and graphics, resulting in a smoother, more visually compelling experience that successfully delivers on the anime’s atmosphere and action, including a ballyhooed Joint Battle System for more dynamic combat.

Last Mission offers an exciting new chapter for the franchise’s wide-reaching fan base. With its blend of action, strategy and personalization, Tokyo Revengers enthusiasts have hours of fun to look forward to. The game boasts various modes and customization options to keep fans engaged. Starting with the “Street Mode,” available on iOS, Android and PC, players can roam Shibuya, taking in the sights, throwing hands in countless brawls and searching for exclusive unlockables. They can also put their spin on their favorite Tokyo Revengers cast members; each comes with different “styles” which, if changed in-game, give the characters new abilities and outfits.

Despite the promising launch, console players are currently left out of the loop. However, they likely won’t need to wait much longer, as releases for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation are still slated to drop sometime in 2024, which now has only a few weeks left. For now, the mobile and PC launch gives an early taste of the game — an immersive take on the stylish, adrenaline-pumping action that made Tokyo Revengers such a popular anime when it began airing in 2021.

Last Mission is currently available on mobile and PC. Those who dive into the game early can take advantage of its launch campaign, offering bonus diamonds for in-game enhancements. The game is categorized as free-to-play, with item-based purchases.
