Cargo-partner secures Asia-UK/Ireland air cargo capacity

Freight forwarder cargo-partner has added a new airfreight service between Asia and the UK and Ireland.

The Nippon Express-owned company said that it had secured reserved capacity on flights out of Asia in what is expected to be a busy peak season for air cargo with space at a premium.

Cargo-partner said that the new solution offers “enhanced connectivity” between Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and destinations in the UK and Ireland, including Manchester, London, and Dublin.

Cargo carried on the service is likely to eminate from industries including electronics, garments, footwear, pharmaceuticals, automotive, fashion, gift supplies, homeware, e-commerce, and food.

Fergal Keenan, managing director of cargo-partner UK & Ireland, said: “Our new air service between the Far East and the UK/Ireland is tailored for businesses of all sizes needing fast and dependable import solutions.

“By offering daily and weekly options with multiple service levels, we provide businesses with the flexibility they need to meet their specific shipping requirements.”

The move comes as cargo-partner has been expanding its presence in the UK and Ireland of late.

Most recently the company opened a new office close to Heathrow airport.

The company said the new office is in response to “growing customer demand from local customers”.

Cargo-partner also has UK offices in Manchester, Basildon and Bradford and in 2022 acquired Aztek International Freight.
