Skybound has released new variant covers and an interior page preview for its upcoming G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero #307. The comic book will hit shelves on June 19.
Skybound‘s preview has Serpentor front and center as he plots to acquire the technical capability to gain the upper hand in his conflict with the Joes. G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero #307’s brief synopsis reads, “The Joes must fight wars on two fronts, as Cobra Island AND Springfield become key battlegrounds in the war with Serpentor.” Acclaimed writer Larry Hama (Wolverine) pens the series, with art by Tony Kordos (Batman & Robin Eternal) and guest artist Paul Pelletier (Aquaman). In addition to the main cover by Andy Kubert (X-Men) and colorist Brad Anderson, G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero #307 will feature an open-to-order variant cover with a black and white version of Kubert’s main cover and continue Brad Walker (Detective Comics) and colorist Francesco Segala (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers)‘s incentive cover series.

Skybound recently announced the impending launch of a G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero Kickstarter exclusive, which will collect every original 1982 comic book series issue in four definitive hardcover compendiums. Fans can sign up for the mailing list to receive all campaign details and updates before its 6 a.m. PT launch on May 28. The publisher will announce stretch goals and campaign-exclusive products at the close of the campaign at noon PT on June 18.
The G.I. Joe collections include every issue of the original 1982 series G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero, G.I. Joe Special Missions, G.I. Joe and the Transformers, and the out-of-print G.I. Joe: Order of Battle and G.I. Joe Special #1, across four compendiums with box art by the acclaimed Kubert and Anderson.

Skybound Celebrated The Energon Universe’s First Anniversary
Skybound recently celebrated the G.I. Joe and Transformers Energon Universe’s first anniversary by releasing connecting, full-art variant covers for four titles, set to arrive in June. Destro #1, Scarlett #1, Transformers #9, and Void Rivals #10 will feature two sets of open-to-order, connecting, full-art variant covers, with art showcasing the entire Energon Universe roster. Acclaimed artists Jason Howard and Annalisa Leoni drew the variant covers.
