  2. I really loved hearing his words of Layla. It was mine reason to start playing guitar as well. He sang it very well also. There was a point when I didn't play anything else than Layla. Haha.. guess im still there.

  3. There u go Donald Duck doing Layla 😂😂😂

  4. Demonstrates that Clapton is great, by playing it horribly

  5. Love Clapton, saw him in Toronto 2023. Eric is so damn amazing playing his car

  6. Damien knows a lot more than 4 chords Ed haha

  7. Layla has to be one of the greatest songs ever written. That opening riff is just…such an assault. Youre immediately in the zone.

  8. I have been to Layla… KSA.

  9. This song is not for him.. it's not the vibe at all. His original music is what suits him best

  10. Talented bloke, the only thing I know about him is from Top Gear.

  11. Everybody wants to play guitar, nobody wants to learn chords…

  12. "I'm not the best guitar player" proceeds to play it flawlessly

  13. I'm actually really impressed with him playing that song on a parlor.

  14. Damien Rice catching strays damn😅

  15. If I was Eric Clapton. I’d sue you for for ruining my song

  16. At least he's honest about his lack of skill on the guitar but……I have definitely heard worse.

  17. Do a full version and you’ll make Clapton proud.

  18. Was that some shade thrown at Damien Rice?

  19. cool john mayer shoutout, under appreciated guitarist

  20. Way too fast, Ed …… Slowhand, for a reason 😉

  21. Ed Sheraan is among the best guitarists of our times. He plays EXACTLY what his songs need, not a note more or less, using the guitar to make a perfect harmonic/rhythm bed for his voice and message. Not over-dominant nor non-existent, just… "just" in the perfect measure. And that is maybe the hardest thing to do.

  22. I think he’s the only person to play the electric version acoustically impressive

  23. Modest to say the least

  24. At least he's honest

  25. He is a great British ambassador. Rock on Ed..👍

  26. dont ditch damien rice.

  27. He put it really well, “If I want to be John Mayer or Clapton, I’ll learn all this shit. If I want to be Damien Rice, I’ll learn 4 chords.” He’s a pop artist anyway so what does it matter?

  28. It was Duane Allman that came up with the Layla riff and he is the one that plays it on the recording. He played it using a A 1957 Gibson Les Paul Goldtop named…Layla. Allman had to teach it to Clapton.
