Samael records are hard to come by these days. Samael released Lux Mundi in 2011, Hegemony in 2017, and then we got a live album of the band playing Passage in full earlier this year. Fortunately the streak of no new Samael records is about to end, as the band revealed they’re in the studio right now.
Samael posted a photo on Twitter, saying: “In recording mode, we’re making good progress with the new material. Here is Ales and Xy during the bass sessions.” So clearly there’s still a long way to go between recording, mixing, mastering, and planning, but hey – new Samael is in the works!
